PIGEON FORGE/GATLINBURG, TN
Pigeon Forge, TN - September 25, 2015
The traffic leading to Pigeon Forge is overwhelming. There are a zillion restaurants and entertainment venues on that road. We even came across the Titanic and its sinking iceberg as we drove to our campground. Because it was cloudy and rainy we got to see the low clouds over the mountains which really looked like smoke, and while in traffic, and for a moment, found very convenient the fact that you coukd eat a burger and have your oil changed while you eat. We also saw a couple of riding stables from the road.
Our campground is called King's Holly Haven. Our first impression is that it looks very nice, clean and organized. The sites have a cement patio and the hookups look in pretty good shape. See a few of my first pictures below.

Today,Cristina and David came over and we drove to Gatlinburg. I must sadly say that, although the tow is as cute as ever, it's been taken over by tourists. The traffic was unbearable to the point that we drove through it and left. Coming back, we found a Cuban restaurant where we, of course, stopped and bought Cuban sandwiches, croquetas and pasteles de guayaba, all good, but nevertheless, the Cuban sandwich lacked the expected perfection. We also got Tennessee BBQ as back up. LOL
